Welcome to Letters from the In-Between, where we embrace the messy middle. This is where we’re learning to create intentionally, nurture our bodies, and show up as our truest selves—without forcing anything. We’ll dig into the importance of rest, body safety, and the little steps that lead to big change. No rush, no expectations—just a reminder that everything blooms in its own time.
Small Steps. Soft Seasons. Real Shifts.
Spring is here, marking what I consider the true new year—a time to reset, reflect, and realign with the natural rhythms of life. If you’ve been feeling like something’s off or you didn’t hit the ground running with your resolutions, you’re not alone. Nature doesn’t rush into growth; it takes its time, and so should you.
We often feel pressured to be “productive” or to have everything figured out by January 1st, but nature’s new year doesn’t start until spring. The cold months were meant for resting, clearing out old energy, and planting seeds—now it’s time for them to sprout.
If you’ve been resting, reflecting, or working behind the scenes, you’re right on track. Spring is about shedding the weight of unnecessary expectations and focusing on what truly matters, at your own pace.
🌸 Here are some ways to align with the energy of spring, without the rush:
- Pause & Assess
Spring is the ideal time to check in with your goals. How do you really want to feel this year? Adjust your plans to reflect what aligns with where you’re at right now, not where you “should” be.
- Spring Clean Your Mental & Emotional Space
Yes, it’s time for the physical spring cleaning—but also take a moment to check in with your mental clutter. Are there beliefs, habits, or fears you need to let go of?
- Eat with the Season
Spring is all about fresh, vibrant foods that help your body detox and recharge. Consider adding more leafy greens, citrus fruits, and herbs like parsley and mint into your meals to nourish yourself as nature begins to awaken.
- Rest & Rejuvenate
Winter was for hibernation; now it’s time to emerge slowly. Take your time to ease into the energy of spring instead of forcing yourself into action. Rest is still productive when it sets you up for sustainable growth.
- Reconnect with Nature
Spend time outside, even if it’s just a few minutes each day. Whether it’s a walk in the park or sitting outside to soak up some sun, grounding yourself in nature will help you feel more balanced and energized.
-
Support Your Body with Spring Herbs
- Nettle Leaf: Great for allergy support.
- Echinacea: Helps boost your immune system as temperatures fluctuate.
- Mint & White Tea: Refreshing and full of antioxidants—perfect for spring.
- Move with Purpose
This isn’t the time for intense, exhausting workouts. Instead, focus on gentle movement that aligns with the rhythm of the season—think yoga, stretching, or a walk outside.
- Hydrate & Reset
Make sure you’re drinking enough water to support the natural detoxification process. Herbal teas like dandelion root or peppermint can help cleanse your body as you adjust to the new season.
